What Sock Sizes Do You Offer?

Custom Lab offers six sizes, covering roughly ages 3 through adult: Youth S/M, Youth M/L, S/M, One Size Fits Most, M/L, and L/XL. Sizes are unisex, so each one covers a men's and a women's range based on standard US shoe sizing. Order a single size for the whole run, or split across sizes with a minimum of 30 pairs per size.

Youth sizes are given by age rather than shoe size. Sizing options can vary slightly by sock style and project, so we confirm the breakdown available for your chosen sock when we quote.

The most common split: half S/M, half M/L

If you want to cover the widest possible range of feet within a smaller order, go with half S/M and half in M/L. That combination stretches from men's 4 to men's 12, and women's 5 to women's 13, which covers nearly everyone in a typical adult group.

For 100 pairs, that is 50 S/M and 50 M/L. For a group with known outliers, add a 30 pair run of L/XL or Youth M/L on top.

Or skip sizing entirely: One Size Fits Most

One Size Fits Most covers men's 6 to 10 and women's 7 to 11, sitting right in the mid-range. It is the simplified option for anyone who does not want to think about size splits at all.

It is the obvious choice for giveaways, conferences, events, and swag bags, where you have no idea who is picking up a pair. It is also the right call for smaller orders where splitting sizes would push you over the quantity you actually need.

Minimums when you split sizes

The minimum is 30 pairs per size, per design, and per colorway. That is the one piece of arithmetic worth doing before you decide how many sizes to order.

Some worked examples:

  • One design, one colorway, One Size Fits Most: 30 pairs minimum.

  • One design, one colorway, split half S/M and half M/L: 60 pairs minimum, 30 in each size.

  • One design, one colorway, three sizes: 90 pairs minimum, 30 in each size.

  • Two colorways of the same design, each in two sizes: 120 pairs minimum.

If those numbers are more than you need, One Size Fits Most keeps you at a single 30-pair run. If you need more than 30 pairs of a size, volume discounts apply as quantity goes up.

How to size a team order without guessing

The simplest approach is a one-question form to everyone getting a pair: their shoe size. Map the answers to the chart above and order to the actual spread.

If you cannot survey people, the half-and-half split is the safe default. And whatever you do, collect sizes at the same time you collect anything else from the group. Chasing people for shoe sizes after your artwork is approved is the single most common reason an order sits waiting.

Sock heights are a separate choice

Height is not the same as size, and what you can pick depends on the style.

Performance

Merino wool

Ankle, Quarter, Crew, Knee High

Grip

Ankle, Quarter, Crew, Knee High

Dress

Cotton

Ankle, Quarter, Crew

Crew is the default for most branded orders, because it puts your design in the most visible place and suits the widest range of footwear. Ankle and quarter suit athletic and warm-weather use. Knee high is for sport, travel, and anything that wants the design to be unmissable.

Frequently asked questions

How many sock sizes do you offer?

Six: Youth S/M (approx. ages 3 to 7), Youth M/L (approx. ages 8 to 12), S/M (men's 4 to 7, women's 5 to 9), One Size Fits Most (men's 6 to 10, women's 7 to 11), M/L (men's 8 to 12, women's 10 to 13), and L/XL (men's 13 to 15, women's 14+). Sizes are unisex.

What is the most common size split?

Half S/M and half M/L. That combination covers men's 4 to 12 and women's 5 to 13, which is the widest range two sizes can reach.

What does One Size Fits Most cover?

Men's 6 to 10 and women's 7 to 11. It sits in the mid-range and is the simplest option when you do not want to manage a size split, such as for giveaways and events.

Do you offer kids' sock sizes?

Yes. Youth S/M covers approximately ages 3 to 7 and Youth M/L covers approximately ages 8 to 12.

Can I order more than one size?

Yes, with a minimum of 30 pairs per size. A half-and-half split across two sizes means a 60-pair order, 30 in each.

Are your socks men's or women's sizes?

Sizes are unisex. Each size lists both a men's and a women's US shoe size range, so one size covers both.

What is the minimum order?

30 pairs per size, per design, and per colorway. Pricing includes shipping, with no hidden fees.

What sock heights can I choose?

Performance and Merino Wool socks come in ankle, quarter, crew and knee high. Grip socks come in Ankle, Quarter, Crew and Knee High. Dress socks come in one standard Dress height (8” cuff).
