Reordering a Past Design and Getting Invoices or Statements

Reordering a Past Design and Getting Invoices or Statements

Quick answer: Yes to both. Reorders are straightforward: your approved design, colors, and specs stay on file, so a repeat run skips most of the design phase. And if you're on the finance side needing an invoice or account statement, we can produce one even if you weren't the person who placed the original order. Both requests move faster with a few identifying details.

Reordering is the norm here rather than the exception: our client reorder rate sits around 85%.

Part 1: Reordering a past design

Why reorders move faster

A first order runs through a full concept-and-revision cycle before production. A reorder skips most of that, because we already have:

  • Your approved design file
  • Your color choices, including any Pantone matches
  • Your placement decisions: sole, calf, cuff
  • Your sock type, height, and size distribution

Production and shipping timelines still apply the same way, but the front half of the process largely disappears.

What to send us

Include whatever you have. Any one of these is usually enough to locate the order:

  • The company name the original order was placed under
  • An approximate date of the original order
  • The original order confirmation or invoice number
  • The name of whoever placed it, even if they've since left
  • A photo of the socks themselves: recognizable designs are often easy to trace back to the file

Reordering with changes

A reorder doesn't have to be identical. Common adjustments:

  • Bumping the quantity: very common, since first orders are often a smaller run test and the second run moves up a discount tier
  • Refreshing colors to match an updated brand palette
  • Adding an element: a new year, an updated tagline, a second logo
  • Switching sock type: keeping the design but moving from cotton to performance, for example

These still count as reorders in the sense that we start from your existing file rather than a blank page. The changes get handled as revisions before production.

Reorder FAQ

Do I need the original file? No, if we can locate your order in our records. A photo of the sock helps if you've lost the paperwork.

Does the 30-pair minimum still apply? Yes, on reorders as well.

How far back can you go? In most cases, well back. Reach out with whatever details you have and we'll check.

Is a reorder cheaper? Pricing follows the quantity tier, not order history. But many customers do land in a higher tier the second time, which lowers the per-pair cost.

Part 2: Invoices and account statements

Why this comes up

The person who commissions custom socks (marketing, HR, an events lead, a coach) usually isn't the person who has to reconcile the invoice against a PO or close the books at month end. If you're in AP or AR and you've inherited this without any of the original context, that's completely normal. We handle it regularly.

What to include in your request

  • Company name the order was placed under
  • Approximate order date, or the invoice/order number if you have it
  • The original requester's name, even if they're no longer involved
  • A PO number, if your organization requires one on the invoice
  • Any required AP fields: billing entity, address, tax ID, remit-to details

What we can provide

  • A copy of the original invoice for a specific order
  • An account statement covering multiple orders over a period
  • Reissued documentation with corrected or updated billing details

A note on timing

Invoice and statement requests usually run against a close date or payment deadline. Say so: "we need this by the 15th to process payment" gets it prioritized appropriately.

Billing FAQ

I wasn't part of the original conversation. Can you still help? Yes. We can locate an order by company name, date, or invoice number independently of who the original contact was.

Can you set up recurring statements? For organizations ordering regularly, ask your account contact about a recurring statement cadence.

Can the invoice be addressed to a different entity than the order? Yes, send us the correct billing entity and details and we'll reissue.

Do you accept POs before shipment? If your organization requires a PO on file before payment, flag it at the quote stage so it's built into the paperwork from the start.

How is sales tax handled? For CAD orders, local sales tax is invoiced separately after shipment. For USD orders, all costs including tax are included upfront in the quote.

Need a repeat run or a piece of paperwork? Reach out with your company name and any order details and we'll take it from there.
